Nine set to strip Celebrity Apprentice series

Nine is running ads for Celebrity Apprentice that indicate it will be airing five nights a week.

It worked for The Block so can it work for Celebrity Apprentice too?

Nine is running ads for its upcoming Reality series that indicate it will be five nights a week.

Given we’ve got just a few weeks in the ratings year it was beginning to become clear that the show would need more than once a week to eliminate all its contestants.

Network promos, which include Pauline Hanson being shot out of a cannon with the words “Please Explain” look pretty good.

The Board Room scene with Mark Bouris looks a lot slicker than the first season.

TV Tonight hears the Board Room scenes are a bunfight, with the celebs not holding back on their feelings about rival contestants.

Could be one to watch.

  1. Looks good but if it is striped across the week what will happen to reagonal viewers because we have crapy local news at 6:30 and even more crapy aca at 7

  2. The so called serious Apprentice shows were not for me….but the ads look really funny…thought I might give it a go….but 5 nights a week…to much for me to commit to….will catch what I can…..maybe….

  3. Wasn’t keen at first but the promos have got me tantalized. However I will have to suffer incessant protests from my partner for every second it’s on.

  4. Saw the ad on a bus stop this morning, actually did a double take when i saw the time. They’ll need a lot of bickering to fill all that space.

  5. Pauline Hanson confirmed Celebrity Apprentice will be stripped to 5 nights a week on 2dayFM (Syd) last Wednesday. She said the show would be starting early November (but with only a month and a half of ratings weeks left, it sounds like it could be a relatively short season).

  6. I caught a promo while I was eating my lunch and happened to see a shot of Pauline Hanson wearing men’s Y fronts hosing something down. I didn’t spot what it was as I’d already turned away, and yes, I did have a little bit of sick in my mouth. Ewwww …

Really?? They look absolutely woeful and tacky. Max Markson, Pauline Hanson, Shane Crawford, gonna be a very low brow show….Perfect for Nine.

  8. So, can someone tell me how the chick from The Block qualifies as a celebrity? I mean, we do use the term very loosely, when you consider Capper and Hanson, are included, but hey, at least I know their names.

  9. Looking forward to this.. Warwick Capper to win! Although 5 nights a week is a bit of a bummer in some ways as I hope it doesn’t conflict with 7pm Project/X Factor too much!

  10. I guess we’re all wondering how it’s going to work if it’s five nights a week. Could it be as simple as this:

    Monday – Challenge
    Tuesday – Elimination
    Wednesday – Challenge
    Thursday – Elimination
    Friday – Week Review
