It’s (probably) been a while since The View‘s Elisabeth Hasselbeck took a guest to task, but Bill Maher has been put in the firing line when she hassel-ed him over being the punchline to one of his own gags.

  4. I so loved the last comments from Bill Maher whilst sitting next to this annoying unfunny piece of work
    Later in the interview, Bill made snide comments about the Republican Presidential candidates. Elizabeth snapped back, “Wow, I actually feel smarter sitting next to you.” Maher replied, “Really? I feel like I”m in high school sitting next to you.”
    Brilliant smackdown Bill..!!

  5. She is so annyoing and dislikeable. She is rude and so highly strung. And that clip is a perfect example, with the way she passive-aggressively attacks him about making a joke about her but also saying “I’m not offended by it”. If you’re not offended by it, shut the hell up and be professional for once in your life!

    With a sense of humor like that, is it any wonder that Kathy Griffin was banned from the show just for not taking Elizabeth’s crap?

  8. Its funny when politics comes up and Joy just gets stuck into any republican and Sheri has her say and Elisabeth just rolls her eyes at them. She is the only republican.

    Im not a regular watcher but Joy just cracks me up because she isnt afraid to say what she thinks especially when it came to Sarah Palin. It was also funny when she said to Kris jenner she wants her blender back that she sent a s a gift to Kim even though she really didnt.

  10. It was pretty amazing to see Maher be polite for as long as he was without explaining that the reason she was cited in the joke was because she’s Awful.

  11. This just proves why reality show contestants should not be handed jobs as presenters on television shows. I’m sure Barbara Walters with all her years of serious news and current affairs experience would be embarrassed that she has that on her show.

    @Denis She’s also got a fine arts degree so you could say she’s a little more educated then your average Hilton or Kardashian.

  16. I unashamedly swing further to the right then the left and if I were an American would more than likely favour more of the Republican ideology but not the implementation.
    Elisabeth Hasselbeck is just plain annoying and has a remarkably obvious lack of any humour for a Television personality.
    One would have to ask the question if she had not have appeared on Survivor the Australian Outback and also having been married to an American Football star whether her opinion on anything would have any credibility, not that it should but seemingly Kardashian,Hilton type infamy means more than political or educational credibility.

    Over the next couple of days, the guide shows that Nine won’t be airing “The View” due to the Golf. I wish they played it on GEM or Go during these sport events (like they do with “Ellen”). It’s a shame that we miss out – especially during Cricket season.

  24. I watched The View today and gaped in slack jawed astonishment at how Hasselbeck went after Bill Maher. As far as I am concerned, her behaviour towards him, a guest on the show, was unacceptable and she deserves to be disciplined by the network. She is a complete disgrace.
