Kim Kardashian cancels remainder of Aussie tour

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has cancelled her remaining engagements in Australia and will fly home to the US.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has cancelled her remaining engagements in Australia and will fly home to the US with sister Khloe tomorrow.

Kardashian was due to appear to the Melbourne Cup Carnival with an appearance at the Swisse vitamins marquee on Saturday, rumoured to be worth a $150,000 fee.

News Limited reports Swisse tried to get visiting sister Khloe as an eleventh hour substitute but were also turned down.

“I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time,” she told News Limited.

The sisters also had a shopping centre appearance to fulfill.

The U-turn follows statements earlier today on Sunrise that, “I really wanted to stick to my commitments to come out here.

“I love our fan base out here.

“Of course I do really want some time to myself and it has been tough, but I didn’t wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment.”

Since arriving in Australia yesterday Kim Kardashian has been followed by paparazzi and questioned over her break-up with Kris Humphries.

  1. She’s on the cover of every gossip magazine in the US as well as featured on Network News bulletins and yet she wants to go back to the Paparazzi Heaven that is LA??? She must still be hungry for attention. Being on the other side of the world would be the best thing for her right now…

  2. Interesting that Kochie just tweeted that he got a call from a journo saying Kim fled the country and blaming the sunrise interview. What did she expect. Sympathy and cupcakes.

  3. I wouldnt go back to the states Kim. The media arent exactly friendly towards you. David Letterman and the other comedians have had a field day with it.

Instead of Swisse wasting there money on a reality star they should have gone after some that is a real actor. I thought one of the downton abbey cast members would have been a good get.

Also she was going to be paid for just a one hour appearance. seriously. Look at Sarah jessica Parker and how she has handled herself. She has respected the event, spoken to all media, looked elegant and just came across as a really good person.

Maybe they could have got Lamar to hang around.

  4. @Graeme Ettinger, I love Nat Barrs humour too,Kim Karcashion. I watched sunrise and it was more like Kim Karcrashnothinggoingonagain. I just want to say to the world- Delete her from your life and get a life. Her handbags looked crap and were probably made for a dollar in China. She is smart and knows how to make a dollar. She looked sad on Sunrise, worthy of an Oscar.

  5. i love that you all portray your hate toward her by saying she is a no one, and good riddens as if no one cares but yet you all take time out of your night to read about her, and even comment on it. You people are the reason she is so famous yet you think you are above it all, its entertaining really

  6. @Jeremy – I agree. Why Swisse would want to be associated with this vacuous fame-whore is beyond me but I certainly won’t be buying any of their product.

  7. It seems the only people who were ever interested in her were the media. Jeez why???..cos everyone else doesn’t give a flying *&$%

…and as for swisse, if they can afford 150K for this non entity, well.. then, their products are way over priced

  8. I think maybe it has just turned on her that the public are pretty unimpressed with her behavior which must be a shock to someone who believes all their own hype…I am guessing she will be going back to do damage control for her “brand”.

  9. Ha ha. “I didn’t wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment”…but she still did. Just like marriage. I’m not sure she actually understands the word ‘commitment’.

  10. It’s funny, Georgie Gardiner on Today called her Kim Karcashian as well……Will be good to be able to watch the tv & not have her shoved down our throats…
