  1. Hey i think this TV show will be a big hit!:D i have read all of the books and i think it will be awesome! i can’t wait till it comes on TV!:D i have a countdown going on in my room at the moment and it is so exciting!

although i do not get why fans make a page about the show?!?! it’s over rated and although i love conspiracy 365, making a page By the Fans is going way overboard! they are just regular human beings like us! give them some space!!!:D

  2. For what it is I think it works, yes 13 mil doesn’t get you much and this is a full season of TV, dumb question but how many eps have been commissioned?

I just watched a short 3 min behind the scenes bit it might be worth checking out, we haven’t had much luck with Hollywood mysteries since Lost went off the air (The Event, FlashForward) so maybe this will work. One up side is being on FMC over any FTA channel is it’s not likely to be dumped if the ratings or reviews are bad.

  3. It’s a 90 second trailer people. Could give it a chance before writing it off. It’s for the Family Channel so the audience is not kids – more like Merlin or Dr. Who. Nickelodeon or Disney with over dressed girls in over saturated colours it ain’t!

  4. Dark Angel, I’d say Australia has made plenty of good kids shows in the past – shows from the 90s like Ocean Girl, Thunderstone, Spellbinder and Mirror Mirror were all very good. (Well, in my opinion anyway.) Even Parallax wasn’t that bad.

  5. @ Dark Angel. I think that is a harsh comment.

I agree this doesn’t look good and kinda hammy but I think Australia makes as good a teen/tween show as anywhere else. Dance Academy being nominated for an International Emmy recently being a perfect example. And I agree with moog that although we personally might not see the value in this show it is important for Australia to generate content for kids and adults to consume so we can have our own identity and not just be fed overseas programming.

  6. If we don’t keep trying to make Australian content for kids they are at risk of never knowing what Australian shows and stories can be like. I think kids need this; the books have been bestsellers and they have been following a big online campaign that will point to tuning in to FMC. I hope it does well!

  7. That main actor’s ham acting annoys me – but the series itself looks ok. But it looks more like an afternoon kid’s show on ABC1 rather than a decent teen series, like Slide was for FOX8.

  8. Australia has a generally bad record in making home grown programs for a teen or tween audience. There have been exceptions though (ie Skippy, etc) but most consider home grown shows to be a bad and poor subisitute for much superior US and UK products. So I don’t hold much hope for this series.

  9. What’s this going to rate…30,000 people tops >

Seriously Foxtel – if you can afford the pay 13m for that then you are seriously overcharging us all!

    1. FMC is not a Foxtel owned channel, but part of Movie Networks which is required to spend on local content under regulation. That’s why we get shows like Love My Way, Tangle, Spirited, Satisfaction, Chandon Pictures, The Jesters, The King, Stupid Stupd Man, Killing Time, Cloudstreet etc.

  10. Fair go everyone – acting seems teen-standard fine and one can see where the $ went – car chases, crashes, fireballs, planes hitting cars – come on!

  11. This looks like an odd choice for FMC. You would think it would be more suited to a more “Adult Channel” like Movie One or FOX 8. It doesn’t appear to be too family friendly.
