He may look like the genial Tom Croydon, but you’re actually looking at Alan Bond, or at least John Wood’s portrayal of Alan Bond.
Wood appears in tonight’s double episode of TV1’s Killing Time.
Bond was a client of disgraced lawyer Andrew Fraser (David Wenham) before the latter was sent to prison for drugs charges.
Fraser’s newfound infamy following the Walsh Street trial soon attracts high profile clients including successful businessman Alan Bond. Facing some hefty charges, Bond offers Fraser a handsome retainer in exchange for his legal prowess. Fraser relocates to Perth and begins preparing his case in a highly pressurised corporate world. This, combined with his unfettered use of cocaine and alcohol
soon causes Fraser’s life to unravel.
Tonight begins the final four episodes which were at risk of not airing due to a pending legal case in Melbourne.
The series was recently voted runner up in this site’s Critics Choice Awards in the Best of Pay TV.
8:30pm Wednesday on TV1.

I miss Blue Heelers!
Everything else on TV1, is just fine, except for the fact that Law & Order: UK should’ve at the last minute been replaced by Law & Order: Trial by Jury, to air at exactly the same time on the channel (TV1) as: Law & Order: UK should’ve aired on UKTV, after EastEnders, cause if it’s a hit in Britain, it’s on UKTV, Mondays at 7:30pm, from October 10th!
Good that they are able to show the rest but why burn them off in double eps?
He has already played Alan Bond in ” The Challenge” about the Americas Cup win.
