Report: Ashton Kutcher seeks $1m per episode for Two & a Half Men

Ashton Kutcher is seeking a payrise from $700,000 an episode to $1m to return to his CBS sitcom.

Ashton Kutcher is negotiating to return for at least another year of Two and a Half Men for $1 million per episode, according to tvguide.com.

Kutcher, who replaced Charlie Sheen on a one-year deal, he reportedly earns $700,000 an episode, well down from the $1.25 million Sheen was pulling before being fired.

Despite the exit of Sheen, Two and a Half Men remains a strong player for CBS and a profit machine for both Warner Bros. TV and creator Chuck Lorre.

At the PaleyFest, Lorre recently expressed optimism that a renewal was coming: “It’s unusual when they cancel a show that’s in the Top 10. I think there’s hope.

Meanwhile, Sheen will debut in his new sitcom, the aptly-titled Anger Management, on FX in June.

  1. The new 2 1/2 men struggles to be any where near as good as the Sheen days. I haven’t watched it in months due to the pain it caused me from whincing at the terrible puns and poorly thought out story lines.
The sooner it dies the better.
