Seven confirms Brynne Edelsten series

"Australia's most intriguing woman" is coming from a Press Release to a screen near you.

Seven has finally confirmed its upcoming series following the life of socialite Brynne Edelsten (Dancing with the Stars).

With the working title Brynne: My Bedazzled Life this is an in-house series produced, written and directed by Rob Menzies, who has an extensive background in comedy on The Comedy Company, Col’n Carpenter, Late for School before turning his attention to Reality / Factual (Popstars, Australia’s Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, The Master).

The show falls under Seven’s factual slate overseen by Dan Meenan (Border Security).

This follows TEN confirming Being Lara Bingle in production.

Channel Seven have announced the production of what is set to become the most talked about fly-on-the-wall reality series.

Since August last year, Channel Seven’s cameras have been allowed a candid look into the outrageous, glamorous, unintentionally hilarious and often unexpectedly touching life of Brynne Edelsten and her multimillionaire septuagenarian husband Geoffrey.

“Brynne – My Bedazzled Life” (working title) follows the day-to-day, jaw-dropping highs and lows of Australia’s most intriguing woman as she embarks on an exciting new acting career and tries her hand at running her own multi-million dollar company.

It appears she has everything her heart desires, except the one thing she wants the most … a baby.

Could this be one demand too many for her reluctant husband?

“I’m having the time of my life. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I just hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as I’ve enjoyed making it,” says Brynne.

  1. I’m with Moanique, Brynn seems very sweet and I do love my trash tv. She is far more interesting than Bingle and the Shire combined IMO.

  2. She’s not even close to being Australia’s most intriguing woman! However, she is very close to being Australia’s most overexposed, most boring and most embarrassing woman.

Do not watch this show, it will eat your brains and rot your eyeballs. Watching this program will prove to the world you are the lowest common denominator, the dumbest person in the country. Watch this and all your friends will point at you and laugh, Homer Simpson will, justifiably, feel superior to you. You will never live down the shame.

  3. Oh so a woman who dresses provocatively and is able to pronounce her own last name can get a show on Channel 7, but because I’m a scrawny douchy-looking Asian kid, I don’t get a chance to air my show?

  4. Please, Australia:

    Don’t be tempted.
Don’t just have ‘one little peak’.
    Don’t watch it ironically.
Don’t watch it because ‘there’s nothing else on’.
Don’t encourage anyone who did watch it to tell you about it.

Only a savage ratings beatdown will save us from more of this garbage.

  5. I can’t believe this shit will make it to air.
The US and UK produce alot of trash but most of it airs of cable channels of digital not top tier networks like CBS, ABC, BBC1 etc. Why the hell are Seven making this. And who the hell is she anyway?!

Same goes for Ten with the lara bingle crap they plan to produce.

    I hope both rate terribly.

  6. What is Aussie tv coming to? Just because trashy tv works in the USA, doesn’t mean it will work here in Australia! I really urge people to Not watch this Brynne Show and also the Lara Bingle Show. Thanks!

  7. I’d like to personally congratulate Seven for acknowledging Rob Menzies as the writer of this show. Too often reality TV writers are uncredited and work damn hard to create characters, script scenes and create the show’s drama. They remain uncredited simply so the network can keep the reality tag. It’s a horrible practice that must be stopped and I think Seven have done the right thing by telling us upfront that Brynne will be scripted!

  8. We’re turning into America. Brynne and Lara Bingle get their own series, Please Marry My Boy, The Shire…..trashy bogan reality shows are taking over. I hope they all crash and burn. But people watched Please Marry My Boy so there’s obviously morons out there willing to watch this crap.
