The Simpsons loves *FOX …*doesn’t include FOX News.

The Simpsons sends their best wishes to FOX on reaching 25 years -but not all of it.

In the US FOX is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a special that looks back on some of its highlights.

As part of the celebrations FOX has rerun the very first episode of The Simpsons, “Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire.”

In the credits there is a special title card from the producers, “Congratulations FOX on 25 years… We still love you*.”

The asterisk was followed by the disclaimer “*This doesn’t include Fox News.”

Ouch.

FOX News has been a bit of a running gag for them, so it’s no surprise really.

Meanwhile X Files fans can check out an anniversary segment looking back on the hit sci-fi show on YouTube.

  1. @ Max Renn – me too. 11 has recently been playing some of the older ones such as the Stonecutters one, the Burns Casino one etc. Nearly every line of them is pure gold. I guess you can only sustain that sort of thing (and keep talented writers) for so long.

  2. FOX News seem to be so sensitive on any critism they receive. O’Reilly even spent 15 minutes of his show attacking the Simpsons for “biting the hand which feeds them” the last time they were ridiculed. I wonder if they’ve gone into rolling anti-Homer coverage this time around?
