Heads up fans of The Amazing Race….

After last week’s 11pm screening the last two episodes will also play out at 11pm, this week and next.

Next week TAR fans will have to wait for not one but two repeats of Castle at 9pm / 10pm before waiting to see who won.

Of course, in the US the finale has already been played out. Just sayin’….

  2. 11pm arrived in Perth and no amazing race Castle was still on and didn’t appear like it had been on long as starting screen credits were still coming up on the bottom of the screen. I estimate that Amazing Race didn’t actually start until 11.40pm will know for sure when I check the recording luckily I recorded the program following just in case.

  3. Unfortunately, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got spoilered so I already know who won. Frustrating that we went from being 3 days behind to now being 3 weeks behind. Naughty seven!

  4. The final aired as a 2 hour special in the US. Yesterday (remarkably) I got Seven to confirm that they have split the final into 2 x 1-hour episodes. Why? They didn’t want it finishing at 1am!! Here’s an idea. Put it on earlier and play it as it was made.

    Such a disgrace what this program has had to endure over the years. Why is it not on Mate in a regular slot? Wonders will never cease.

  5. As long as it’s on I don’t care what time. I never watch it live anyway and if it was on earlier it would clash with so many things, ABC’s Wednesday night line up, Offsping & The Good Wife on 10, The Apprentice on 9 and Life Begins on 7two. If it was on earlier I would have to buy a third twin-tuner DVD recorder in order to tape everything I want! And like some other posters I am a loyal TAR fan and have not only seen every episode but have them all on either DVD or (for the earlier seasons) on VHS. The first season is probably my favourite thing that has ever been on TV.

  7. AndI thought it was just Nine that did this sort of thing. Sitting though repeats or bad movies to wait for your show. It’s a wonder anyone watches FTA live anymore.

  9. I have way he’d every ep this season, bar one as my pvr recorded 74!?! However besides Bopper & Mark the contestants were fairly dull! The late time slots made it harder to follow

Hmmmm Yourtv is currently showing it as starting at 11.30pm and IceTv has it in at 11.45pm seems nobody’s really quite sure when it starts 🙁 the chances of me actually managing to record it all are slim. Now that Kentuckey are gone I’m not as interested in the ending as long as BB don’t get it 😀

    The timeslotchages this season was dodgy to say the least we better not get this treament with TARAU2.

    Unlike you I thought the cast was good but they focused on the top 6 teams and not enoght on the other teams earlier in the season.

    @ JulieS Agree with you , next US season should be on 7TWO or 7Mate at a good hour (monday or tuesday straght after it airs in US should be great)

  13. @ alfagirl Agree with you – the cast were not interesting at all this season and the key to the success of this and Survivor are definitely in the points of difference within the casting.

    However, unlike you, I have never missed an episode!!!

I have been a very loyal viewer over the years however this series, whether it be because of its dodgy timeslots or the uninteresting contestants, I gave up watching and was happy to read the episode summaries on line to see who won. I still think it’s a show I’d watch in the future but 7 needs to be consistent with its timeslot.

  15. Looks like I’ll be watching it online again this week. For the next series they should definitely look at putting it back on 7mate where they hopefully will show it a decent hour.
