EXCLUSIVE: A new comedy entertainment program was piloted in Melbourne last week.

Buff is a described as a “fast-paced digest of all things Popular Culture new and old”, created by independent production house Thousand Words Productions.

An audience of fifty attended the taping at the Hotel Barkly in St. Kilda, where hosts James Kerley and Colette Werden (pictured) introduced video clips and chatted with guests including Steve Vizard and The Bazura Project’s  Shannon Marinko.

Networks will get their first look at Buff later in the month.

  1. Doesn’t sound like Spicks and Specks to me at all.. more like a slightly more grown up’s version of ELEVEN’s The Loop.

@Hoin.. I’m pretty sure Aunty wasn’t the reason for Spicks and Specks’ demise but a case of the talent (eg – Hills, Warhurst and Brough) wanting to move on to other things.

  2. Looks like an attempt to get Spicks and Specks back on air. The ABC is certainly feeling the loss of the show. I couldn’t believe it when I saw a repeat of Spicks during prime time two Fridays ago. Not on ABC2 but on the main ABC1 channel. An open admission that Aunty did the wrong thing in axing the show.
