David Letterman sans audience…

  1. I had a bit of a laugh to my self, unfortunately I missed the start of Letterman, and he was already at his desk by then, but I did see him from the Top Ten segment etc…

But I’m pretty sure I saw the ‘Horn Section’ there, and Biff being his weather man, doing what all weather persons seem to do on these occasions, such as standing outside being buffeted by the wind and rain, and nearly always finding the obligatory, crashing waves to dodge, or if inland, knee high rising water to paddle around in, and all while telling us how dangerous it can be for anybody, to be out in these exact same conditions.

But the to me the great irony of the night, and to quote Forrest Gump if I may, ‘Like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get’ when tuning into Letterman, such as repeats form who knows how far back(recalling current affairs/events sometimes the only clue).

But no not last night, whilst fully expecting another repeat, there he in all his glory, and I was just waiting for someone to hit the canned laughter/applause button by mistake…But at least I will know the exact date when ever it returns as a repeat.

  2. I watched Letterman last night, without having prior knowledge of having no audience. It did feel awkward with no audience.

On the show, Letterman interacted with the band and crew a little longer than usual. And some crew couldn’t make it either due to the storms
