No surprise to hear that Homeland has been renewed for a third season.
The US drama, based on an Israeli format, took the top Emmy Awards last month.
The third season will consist of 12 one-hour episodes, with production set to begin in the US spring. Among the questions as the series moves ahead is whether the six-member writing staff, which Fox 21 president Bert Salke has dubbed a “murderer’s row”, will remain intact.
“The Emmy wins for Homeland have certainly set the stage for a great second season,” said Showtime Networks president of entertainment David Nevins, who ordered the show within days of taking the job in 2010. “The writers, cast and crew of Homeland continue to create a remarkably entertaining and suspenseful roller-coaster ride, growing audiences week after week. We can’t wait for our viewers to experience what unfolds through the rest of season two.”

If Morena Baccarin having steady work is bad news for firefly fans, then how bad must Joss’s deal with Marvel be?
I think the plot and storylines will decline in a 3rd series. A new threat will be needed and lets get a cure for the bipolar woman, why does she have to have flaws, its annoying
Best show on television there’s nothing like it
Craig – Playing Brody’s wife is Morena Baccarin who had earlier been in Firefly & Serenity.
The renewal of Homeland would be considered bad news for Firefly fans who have been campaigning for a Firefly comeback and it will be hard to see a Firefly comeback series without at least the involvement of one of its key cast members.
Really ?
Like the show but have trouble seeing how they will stretch the plot now
This is great news, I have seen the first episode.
This is good news.
@Firefly?
I am enjoying watching Homeland but objectively speaking this would be considered bad news for Firefly fans considering who is in Homeland.
I see many more great seasons ahead of us
