Gone: White Collar

White Collar has disappeared from TEN, replaced by a repeat of Law and Order: SVU.

That didn’t take long.

White Collar has disappeared from TEN’s Thursday night line-up, replaced by a repeat of Law and Order: SVU as of tonight.

That was just one week…

TEN did trumpet its summer line-up with White Collar some weeks ago. Hopefully they will find a way of appeasing fans sooner rather than later.

  1. I don’t like or watch the show but I am surprised, it summer!! I was expecting Burn Notice to be taken off instead, being that its on Friday nights and all. plus casual viewers might think Ten’s eps are repeats.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, summer should be used for movies, repeats and axed shows. to also repeat the seasons that were just played just incase people missed them because of clashes and stuff.

  2. Wow, 24 comments already. It looks like almost everybody who watches the show has commented!

(No, I feel your pain). Ten have stuffed it around too much for it to rate well enough on the main channel. They should just find a slot on One and play it out.

  3. Channel Ten should just shove it on a multichannel and keep it there in a consistent timeslot, rather than jerking fans of this show around by pulling it after one episode

  4. I can understand FTA stations doing this during the ratings periods – but not now.

White Collar is an enjoyable piece of fluff with a drop dead gorgeous Matt Bomer in the lead.

Ten could have promoted the show ‘starring Magic Mike’s ….”

Have a look at how they carried on with the Megan Fox in skimpy clothes promos this week. They even showed these ads during the Simpsons!

  5. i am so confussed by 10 they have some really great – popular high rating in the US – shows that they don’t treat with any repeact – with the constant moving or non showing of theses shows they are turning viewers off – which is just adding to their problems. It seems so simple to me.

  6. No wonder people go to “other sources” to access the shows they like when things like this happen. So much for the “consistency in programming” that Ten was trumpeting a few days ago.
Scheduling a repeat of a show in place of new content is unbelievable. It’s non ratings – why don’t Ten leave it there so it can build an audience over this time? Some of us are disabled or house bound and won’t be going on holidays anyway (can’t afford to!).

  7. I’ve had it with Ten. First I’ve fallen way behind with Glee because I actually believed them when they promised they’d continue airing it through the summer and was content enough to not watch online even though we were two weeks behind and now this? Rubbish.

White Collar was the only show I watch on that sad excuse for a network these days and I although I was looking forward to watching Elementary, I will now only be doing so online. My level of trust for Ten is about as low as their stock prices right now.

  8. This is just plain rediculous! USA produces some of the greatest shows I have ever seen, and it shows with USA being the best cable network in the U.S., but TEN seem to turn a piece of gold into a piece of coal (I use the word coal instead of that other dark matter that is produced by mammals to refrain from swearing). I have brought the first two seasons of the show after they screened on TEN, but am thinking I will just purchase season three from the states to see what happens instead of continally waiting for TEN. And I completely agree with Pertinax in that Seven have really treated their USA programming well with Covert Affairs been given a 9:30pm slot with double episodes, then 10:30pm with single episodes of Suits, Fairly Legal & Royal Pains. Seven deserve a medal and TEN deserve a shovel.

  9. Ten needs to try and build an audience and promote their 2013 lineup, even though that line up is basically Elementary. Repeats of SVU will rate better than White Collar.

However dumping S3 after 6 episodes, repeating those eps while making people wait a year for the rest of the season. Then dumping it again after 1 episode is going to seriously piss off anyone who watches the series.

They should probably give up on their attempts to try and build the audience for The Project and The Good Wife with late night repeats and just put White Collar back in the late night slot on Fridays.

Seven has shown every episode of Suits regularly in the same slot. They have also shown Fairly Legal and hopefully we will get S4 of Royal Pains this summer. They may be late at night but at least that way you can actually watch them. This is much better than what Ten has done with the USA shows it still has the rights to from before when they dropped the output deal.

  10. Don’t know where TEN was up to, but I’ve given up. Thanks be that I can get seasons 1, 2, 3 DVDs thru Quickflix. More SVU? Come off it. Same season being repeated over and over. See nothing has changed at TEN despite their recent spiel.

  11. I think I might be to blame, I tweeted to ch 10 last week, really excited at White Collar coming back, try to to take it off after 1 episode again. Looks like I gave them ideas. (hangs head in shame)

  12. This is yet another program I gave up on thanks to FTA screwing with it, seriously its the ‘non’ ratings period and they’d rather put on more re-runs than new stuff. Time to break out the DVDs!

  13. No, I love White Collar and I was looking forward to the rest of Season 3. Why would they do this??? Especially for repeats of L&O SVU. No wonder TEN is doing so badly.

  14. Channel 10 has done it again. Getting sick of how they keep bringing this show back, show 1 or 2 episodes and then take it off. It is one of the highest rating shows in the US and we are so far behind it is not funny. If they don’t want it give it to another network. They shove it in non- ratings or at ridiculous hours. Maybe if they put it on during ratings times at a decent time it might rate better. Get your act together channel 10. Showing re-runs of shows when they have brand new episodes of another show is ridiculous.

  15. Wow. That is consistent scheduling… If you think about it. It actually is consistent for Ten. They put a show in one week and take it out the next. Been happening all year!!
