it has very very ordinary of late…wrong names of people going to air…bad spelling… it has been shocking…attention to detail must have been made redundant… its the little things they are getting wrong that makes you think what else could be going wrong
Just noted in The Lounge…Nine were showing flood warnings for ‘Bandaberg’…somebody tell them about spell check
.
Did they outsource the sub editing to NZ?
@Secret Squirrel
Thanks Secret, that’s quite a compliment coming from you!
I’m ashamed to say that the ‘shore’ reference was in fact so oblique as to be in an entirely different ballpark. I’m afraid I’m not even remotely that clever – but thanks anyway for the undeserved attribution.
Luckily “Media Watch” is on holidays” Nice one Dave
@steveany 2.0 – awsum, dude. You beat me that time, I think we’re even now. Extra credit for oblique mention of Alan Shore.
Gee Willikins David, It’s very un-Autralian of you to make fun of Channel 9’s control staff.
I’m shore their doing the very ebst they can!
Mediawatch have mentioned at least two typos on their Twitter feed this week. One was where ABC s Midday Report misplaced Egypt.
So they can’t spell a variation of the country they live in, nor can they spell the name of a man who’s been with the network a few decades.
“Lucky Media Watch is on holidays?”
– Don’t know what’s worse: being exposed on Media Watch or TV Tonight 🙂
Bloopers on Media Watch are harder to find later.
Bloopers on TV Tonight are there for the world to see for months or years and easily found through search engines.
Plus you have far more impact and market penetration than Media Watch, David.
Too much “excitment” at the thought of a long weekend?
I love how the tour of the control room in the “Live On-Line News Show” item shows rows of people doing what used to be done by 4, but still no one checks stuff before it goes to air.
Earlier in the week I was watching something on GEM, and for at least ten minutes they had the Channel Nine watermark showing and not GEMs. It was proper GEM programming, no similcast or anything out of the ordinary.
Richard Wilikins, makes him sound like a Hobbit, and much more fun!
Good God people are way more observant than me, I never notice these things.
Maybe this will be covered by Media watch first week back, all the typos. To be fair those monkeys they now employ are paid peanuts 🙂
