2013-02-20_2242On Sunday night ABC News 24 has a Compass special, as Geraldine Doogue hosts a panel discussion on Pope Benedict’s 8 years in office; and what kind of church will emerge under a new Pope?

The panel will discuss: the legacy of Pope Benedict XVI, his success and failures, and what challenges are facing the next incumbent?

The four expert guests include:

Andrew West, ABC Radio National presenter, Religion & Ethics Report
Frank Brennan, Professor of Law, Australian Catholic University
Mark Coleridge, Archbishop of Brisbane
Catherine Pepinster, Editor of British Catholic weekly journal, The Tablet

The special will be repeated on ABC News 24 on Saturday, March 2 at 4 p.m.

Compass returns on ABC1 at 6:30pm on March 3rd with a program about Pope Benedict XVI and the following week a story examining what Australians want from the new pope.
