GLAAD Media Awards: drama, reality winners.

The Amazing Race and Smash are recognised by the The 24th GLAAD Media Awards -and Madonna dresses like a boy scout.

2013-03-19_1521The 24th GLAAD Media Awards held the first of three award ceremonies in New York this week.

The awards recognise gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender visibility in the media.

Smash was awarded Outstanding Drama Series defeating Degrassi, Grey’s Anatomy, The L.A. Complex and True Blood.

Outstanding Reality Series went to The Amazing Race over Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Pregnant in Heels, Small Town Security and The Real L Word.

Dressed as a boy scout, Madonna presented the Vito Russo Award to CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

Additional events for other categories will take place later in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

    True Blood or Grey’s should of won the award. The gay guys on Smash are mostly incredibly annoying.

    Oh, and there’s a real The L Word? O_O
