Oops. Nine News typo on “homocide detectives.”

Oh dear. There are typos and there are typos.

nn9hOh dear. There are typos and there are typos.

Not sure what was on the minds of Nine News Brisbane when this super came up.

I suspect it’s news to the Brisbane police force that they now have a “Homocide Detective” unit.

A most unfortunate typo given the story is no laughing matter.

  1. For the most part, I see these typos as little more that confirmation of deteriorating journalist/reporter standards in our media.

When was the last time you heard an intelligent/probing/thoughtful question put to a politician at a door stop… and a follow up question bringing the polly back to the original question when they shot off on a tangent.

How many times have you heard a reporter ask “what have you got to say to your victims” as they chase the villain down a street… and then the look of amazement on the reporter’s face when the “evil bas-tard’ doesn’t reply.

There are some who still seem to do a capable job… honorable mentions should go to the ABC’s 7:30 team and to 4 Corners. The rest sound like seagulls… me me me me mine mine mine.
