2013-05-09_1329Great to see GO! will fast-track the finale and reunion of Survivor: Camaroan next Monday night just hours after the US broadcast.

The two-hour finale will air at 8:30pm on Monday night followed by a one-hour finale at 10:30pm.

This day-and-date screening is a rare and welcome move by Nine programming and it means viewers can avoid being spoiled unless they are silly enough to check US media on Monday arvo.

Fans have long rallied for fast-tracked content on Survivor and this season they have been rewarded.

  1. Well seeming as I always have a go at ch.9 for their extremely poor treatment of ‘Survivor’ in the past, it’s probably worth saying well done to them for this season.
It hasn’t set the ratings on fire, but they stuck with it and remained consistent in timeslot every week. Plus its all been fastracked, right down to the finale.
Well done 9. Hope this standard is kept up for future seasons so the show can build a bigger audience here, and reclaim back those viewers who have deserted to the more reliable download methods.

  2. That is fantastic! So happy Nine have treated this season so well. I don’t know what the ratings have been like but hopefully they’ve reflected positively on the decision to fast track.

  3. Thanks David, that’s great news. As with the other comments i’ve enjoyed the fast tracking on GO and haven’t been downloading. Looking forward to Monday night, it should be an interesting battle to the end.

  4. Yeah, that is great they are fast tracking it. But don’t understand why it is on at 8.30 and not 7.30. They are only showing repeats of Big Bang Theory then. This year was the first time for ages that I haven’t known the winners of The Amazing Race before it aired here.

  5. @melbourneboy. Same. I’ve actually been watching it on GO! this season. See, if networks do the right thing, viewers will too.
Compare that to Amazing Race. I’ve seen the finale. I could not tell you what day or time it’s on tv nor what episode 7/7Two/7Mate is up to.

  6. I have not needed to download one episode of Survivor this season. Kudos to 9/GO!
Should have been this way for a while now though.
