Ashleigh Brewer chalks up 1000 episodes of Neighbours
1000 episodes done, but on Neighbours that's mere chicken feed compared to other milestones.

It’s a long way off the episodes chalked up by Tom Oliver, Jackie Woodburne, Alan Fletcher and Ryan Moloney but Ashleigh Brewer marks her own milestone tomorrow with the airing of her 1000th Neighbours episode.
“A thousand episodes, I should be exhausted,” she joked. “It does sound impressive, however I’m still a rookie compared to some of my colleagues, a few thousand to go before I’m on my P plates.”
And her favourite storyline from the 1000 episodes?
“It’s hard to single out one, however probably the most memorable was the real time episode when Kate had 30 minutes to decide her future and we did a countdown. I was filmed running over and over again to reach Mark (Brennan played by Scott McGregor) and on cue it teemed down raining which just added to the drama and I was soaked by the end.”
Brewer joined the series in May 2009.
Neighbours airs 6:30pm weeknights on ELEVEN.

Yes, Gillian. Sorry my mistake, I meant Scott Major.
Oh, thanks for that Gillian, I hadn’t heard that. That’s great news, would love them to get back together, Mason’s ok but too young & immature for Kate.
@Stevie G, Scott McGregor plays Mark. Scott Major plays Lucas. Scott Major will be working behind the scenes on Neighbours directing. So, there’s more of a chance Lucas will come back. Scott McGregor (Mark) is coming back again in September.
I like Kate and hope she stays on for a while yet. Was disappointed with all the hype of Mark coming back it was only for a week so they didn’t get back together. Was a bit of an anti-climax.

@carolemorrissey, We haven’t seen the last of Mark, he will be back again in September. Scott McGregor could be returning as a regular again. The Kate & Mark storyline is far from over. Kate & Mark make such a lovely couple. Mark is Kate’s true love, they belong together.
Yes I agree Carol, re the hype over Mark coming back, we found out 6 months in advance and he was only there for a a week. I’m dissapointed that Scott McGegor who plays Lucas is leaving, was hoping he might become a mainstay like Tom, Jackie, Alan and Ryan. But here’s hoping Ashleigh stays a good while.

I agree with Hardcore Prawn. If her character has been slutted up, count me in!
@alfagirl: Yeah i know but she still has this holier than thou thing going on.
Her character’s gone slutty these days?
I’ll have to start watching again…
@deedeedragons – Have you been watching lately? Her character has gone from big time goody two shoes to something of a slutty moron.
Pity i can’t stand her goody two shoes character.
Tom Oliver (Lou Carpenter) just celebrated 25 years on Neighbours, 50 years in the industry and his 75th Birthday. Footage was shown on Couch Time yesterday with Ian Smith (Harold Bishop) paying a visit for celebrations.
I’m sure she’s a team player but the rain would have been teeming with a double ‘e’.
