Joe Manganiello at ASTRA Awards

The ASTRA Awards just got a bit of Hollywood werewolf power with word that True Blood‘s hunky Joe Manganiello will be walking the red carpet on Thursday evening at the Sydney Theatre.

Manganiello stars as Alcide Herveaux on the HBO television series currently screening on the Showcase channel.

He has also appeared in What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Magic Mike, How I Met Your Mother, One Tree Hill, and the Spider-Man trilogy.

Meanwhile presenters announced so far include Ben Britton, Catherine McClements, Shaynna Blaze, Danielle Cormack, Aaron Jeffery, Megan Gale, Charlotte Dawson, Alex Perry, Didier Cohen and Jules Sebastian.

“This year more than 40 stars will appear on stage, representing the diversity, creativity and quality of subscription television in Australia,” ASTRA CEO Andrew Maiden said.

Host Deborah Hutton will also present a first-ever lifetime achievement award, with the recipient being announced on the night.
