Puberty Blues set visit

It was certainly like stepping back in time when TV Tonight visited the set of Puberty Blues.

Pub001TV Tonight recently visited filming for the upcoming season of Puberty Blues.

It was certainly like stepping back in time in the house used for the Knight family, nestled in a picturesque corner of Gymea Bay.

On set were Brenna Harding, Susie Porter and Dan Wylie, filming scenes for director Emma Freeman.

The art department had dressed the house with all kinds of kitcsh 70s throwbacks, with groovy light shades, bedroom walls with popstar pin-ups, browns clashing with bright oranges, a waterbed, and a replenished bar.

This house even has a backyard pool. All it lacked was a hot summer’s day, a bit of Sound Unlimited on the TV and some Pine Lime Splices.

The scenes being filmed are all kept under embargo, but they involve teen romance, liberal parenting and the show’s trademark languid style. This season also sees the storylines break free from the original book into new territory. Can’t wait to see where they take us.

Puberty Blues returns to TEN soon.

  1. Really looking forward to Puberty Blues, I had thought it would start after Offspring finished, but instead Wonderland it starting then. Hopefully it starts soon.

That’s a blast from the past, Sounds Unlimited. I used to watch that when I was growing up.

  2. Such a great Aussie drama, I am really looking forward to seeing where they take Season 2, given they will be branching out with no source material it will definitely make for some interesting times.

Will be interesting to see where they slot this one. Hopefully on a Thursday night where there is nothing much else airing. Would be a good boost to have some good drama on a Thursday night again.
