Sharon Osbourne calls Dannii Minogue “insignificant.”

Sharon Osbourne says it's all in the past but still manages to sledge Dannii Minogue again.

2013-08-01_0137Sharon Osbourne is at it again, telling US media website The Daily Beast that Dannii Minogue is “insignificant.”

Asked why she decided to return to the U.K.’s X Factor, she said:

“I chose to leave because I was uncomfortable there at that time with a woman that was on the panel,” she said.

“Dannii Minogue, right?” asked the Daily Beast.

“Yeah. She’s insignificant, but at that time, I let her get under my skin and I should have been the bigger person. But hey, I chose to leave. That’s all in the past. I wanted to end it on the right note. I’m only doing it this one season, it’s been 10 years, and I want to end it on the right way.”

Osbourne’s quit in 2007 after four seasons, later telling Piers Morgan “I didn’t enjoy working with her at all and didn’t fancy the prospect of spending six months sitting next to her.” A much-publicised feud ensued.

But while Minogue has proven to be a great addition to Australia’s Got Talent and X Factor, she’s had to endure her share of criticism.

Back in 2008 even Ronan Keating questioned her role as a talen judge, telling the Mirror, “She hasn’t got the X Factor anymore.” Reowww!

  1. Sharon is a pain in the bum but she is a successful music manager in her own right. She and Ozzy have amassed a small fortune and it’s largely credited to her business savvy.
And she gives good tv! You need someone with strong opinions on those shows.

@carole – Pink’s stance re mulesing isn’t about not having her facts straight, it is simply a difference of opinion. Many people, including retailers, foreign governments and animal welfare organisations oppose mulesing.

  2. Yeah, that annoys me too how the media fawn all over her when she comes here or has something to flog. They seem to forget how she has treated one of our own in the past. Same with Pink. They rave on about her, and forget how she shot her mouth off about our farmers a few years ago and hadn’t got her facts straight.

  3. The more Sharon Osbourne speaks, the more I start to believe Dannii’s account of what originally happened on X Factor to spark this ridiculous feud.

  4. Sharon Osborne has a thing about Australians. She doesn’t like us.
Check her appearance on the US Celebrity Apprentice when she announced loudly, ‘Australians are smug. All Australians are so smug’, and then went on to character assassinate Curtis Stone.
But, watch the way all the local media will fawn all over her the next time she comes here to flog something. Such short memories and lack of research these days – and anything for a celebrity connection.
But can someone remind me why she is a celebrity? Being married to a former rock star does not really cut it in establishing her status as a judge of talent.
