8 Comments:

  1. I’ll be interested to see the results. Sorry if I’m annoying you David. I will only add I think it’s been a really bad year for it. I didn’t set out to do this. It just seems they keep doing something and I don’t react happily to it. By that they seem to be adding more and more stunts. Which I respond to (badly of course ) .

Lastly if I’m permitted I’ll misuse one of Newton’s Laws of Motion. “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” I assume they think if they advertise during the programming it will attract viewers. It doesn’t. At least with me it repels me. Again sorry. It seriously drives me up the wall. I hope I’m not doing the same for you.

  2. I will admit to being wrong about my predictions for Eleven. However it is early days. That said I’m still watching ST: Deep Space Nine. Mainly because I love it. But also because I’m curious as to which show they want to convince me not to watch next with the surprise pop-ups. This week it’s Recipe to Riches. Eventually I will tire of playing that game.

What it is basically doing is destroying my loyalty as well as desire to watch television. Any and all channels that do it. But in particular an individual channel, network and shows. Both the show that was advertised that way and the show it was advertised on. It’s basically the ultimate in destructive force. Mess with a show and reap the consequences. I wish television would realise it isn’t just confined to one individual. If thousands watch. Imagine the possibilities. Will they ever do such a thing?

  3. Mal W. might want to enjoy a retirement which would be well deserved. Not sure if he would want to jump to Seven now.

Cricket support is waning because Aussies have lost. People only support Aussie sports people when they are winning – very sad.

Masterchef – master class rated the best that I can remember. It is always a fair bit lower than M/C itself normally, so that wasn’t a bad result.
We enjoy that part better than in previous years but M/C itself needs to be changed to be more like it used to be with more individual challenges and perhaps better cooks as the contestants. 🙂
