5 Comments:

  1. I for one will be watching several Winter Olympic events, providing TEN survives this evening’s Upfront presentation to its sharehiolders, advertisers etc. Whether the ratings are satisfactory remains to be seen.

As for the IOC banning of India from Olympic competition, the IOA more than deserved it, as it was riddled with corruption. It had nothing to do with manipulation, merely commonsense.

  2. Comments on this site this week and my own thoughts tell me the Brand damage to Ten has been horrendous to say the least.

As a person that loves Ten and has worked for them until November 2012 I am very sad about all that.

I can only hope that T20 Bash Cricket and the Winter Olympics will revive Ten on a path of recovery to make 2014 a better year for them.

Look out for the articles rubbishing the Winter Olympics in the magazines soon to try and pull audience away from that event, just like they did for the Olympics in India. Sad world – full of manipulators IMHO. 🙁

  3. It appears the only thing keeping channel 9 afloat these days are all the repeats, what happens when people suddenly stop watching will they then find something else and flog it to death, to say it was the number 1 channel a few years ago it has certainly gone down hill now, and even with the American Hedge funds contributing all that money, doesn’t seem to have made much difference, wonder how long they will continue to support it.
