2013-10-23_1514Joining Thursday FC hosts Matt Okine and David Zdrilic this week are Socceroos roommates James Holland and Ryan McGowan headline, previewing their upcoming match against Costa Rica next Tuesday, the first under new coach Ange Postecoglou.

Lucy Zelic will be live from Federation Square in Melbourne with Melbourne Heart star Michael Mifsud. He will be alongside acclaimed chef, Melbourne Heart ambassador and host of Shane Delia’s Spice Journey on SBS, Shane Delia, who will be sharing one of his favourite dishes. Lucy will also speak to Perth Glory defender Michael Thwaite.

In Newcastle, Sam Ikin is live with Newcastle FC players Adam Taggart and Connor Chapman to preview their upcoming clash against Brisbane Roar.

And back in the Sydney studio, Les Murray will talk about the Australian Football Awards the previous night and preview his one-on-one interview with Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou. Christa Hughes (Machine Gun Fellatio) from A Night At The Rock Opera will be performing Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen and Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin live in the studio.

Thursday FC is football and a whole lot more.

  1. Not sure about Zdrilic hosting this, he is a bit wooden and relies on the autocue a lot and the other dude Matt, he tries his best but sometimes his comedy falls flat. Lucy Zelic is doing a great job however shes very natural. Its a good show and hopefully will gain a cult following and get better over the season.

    Thursday FC seems to be a little hidden gem over on SBS2. A shame that its ratings are so small.
