Samantha Jade: “I’ve got the acting bug”
An acting gig as a young Kylie Minogue in Seven's INXS telemovie has Samantha Jade ready for more.

“It was the ‘funnest’ thing to do. I had such a great time,” says Samantha Jade.
“I was so shocked I got the role.”
The X Factor singer is speaking, of course, about her role as a young Kylie Minogue alongside ‘Michel Hutchence’ (Luke Arnold) in Seven’s upcoming miniseries, INXS: Never Tear Us Apart.
“I hadn’t done much acting. I’d done one movie but not a big role, and it wasn’t anything like this. This is playing someone who’s clearly alive and doing well, and people will go back and compare me to,” she told TV Tonight.
“The other role I played wasn’t a real person. So it’s a very different thing. A lot harder, but just awesome.”
But without any direct access to Minogue, Jade says most of her research came via watching YouTube clips.
“She did tweet me and said ‘Have fun.’ Dannii’s been so nice and asked to look at pictures. She’s been really warm and sweet,” she said.
“I’ve done the best that I can do so I hope Kylie likes it.
“I’ve got the acting bug and I want to do it again now!”
INXS: Never Tear Us Apart premieres soon on Seven.

She copied her in X Factor and was criticised or not bring herself! So I wonder why influenced her to copy her for a tele-movie!
Just hope she doesn’t end up on H&A! I personally do not see what people like in her music!
I concede that she looks in this shot like Kylie, but i would have liked to have seen what Jessica McNamee might have done with the role. If the actor is required to sing her own vocals for the mini series then i guess Samantha is the one.
I saw her in something completely unrelated and thought to myself, “Crikey, she’d be good as Kylie Minogue in something!” then looked her up online and found I was not alone in that assessment. She both looks and sings like her, it’s quite uncanny.
