“Lesson in humility” sends Captain & Corrine packing from MKR

An all-time low score of 27/110 became a "lesson in humility" says Queensland MKR couple.

2014-02-26_0100Outspoken Queensland My Kitchen Rules duo David Kirk and Corinne Wieland were eliminated from the show last night after scoring an all-time low of 27/110 on Monday night.

The pair lost out to New South Wales mother and daughter team, Cathy and Anna on 89 points.

David said: “You’ve just got to take it on the chin, it’s a fair competition, and we blew it!”

“It’s a humbling experience, but it’s also my first lesson in humility,” he said before adding “I’m so proud of Corinne, I could burst. We’ve had a blast.”

This week the couple were embroiled in newspaper articles claiming Wieland was still married to another man.

“The reason we’re not married (to each other) is that we’re still married to other people,” Kirk told Sunrise.

“They’re estranged. They’re not our partners. This is my partner.”

  1. I’ll resume watching now that he’s gone. The most obnoxious person I’ve seen on TV since….can’t remember when. And just creepy. Ugh!!
They could have been just plants by the producers as suggested as they certainly had no cooking talent.
I’ll probably stop watching when the ‘I’ve been everywhere’ chics start up again.

  2. He was so annoying he made my skin crawl. Let’s not forgot there are at least 3 other couples who can’t cook either and are just there for their 5 minutes of fame
