Oops. Seven promo spoils MKR result.

Spoiler: A Seven promo before the main course ruins the fun for everyone.

2014-02-24_2347My Kitchen Rules fans in Queensland were stunned last night, not so much from the scores, but from Seven spoiling the outcome with a tell-tale spoiler halfway through the show.

Just before the main course was served by Queensland couple David and Corinne, a network promo indicated they had fallen to the bottom of the leaderboard. The error appears to have been the victim of a Daylight Savings playout blunder.

“Its elimination night” said a promo for tonight’s episode.

“We need a disaster tonight” said David with a Seven voice-over: “How far will he go to avoid elimination?….Who is going home?”

Last night the Queensland couple scored the lowest marks in MKR history: 27/110.

So low it was worth a tell-all promo, it seems.

  1. @Fromthedale, couldnt agree more. I cannot stand spending the night watching ads so recording and watching it later in the night is ideal for an early evening show.

  2. Did you pick up early in the episode of final instant restaurant to decide between Harry and Christo and the team that actually went that in the commercial for the next week of party crashers that Harry was seen side on… that gave it away early that night as well.

  3. Still got 2.1 million viewers, impressive numbers for an average show, its only a bit of cooking.

@ Aussir_Austridge….tell me you are joking about the Titanic sinking, just ruined it for me

  4. Just like with The Biggest Loser, when it was between Mary and Kevin, Channel 10 showed ads, showing one of them was going home, before they had even showed the weigh in.. So they not only gave away which team lost the weigh in, but also who was put up for elimination.

  5. Reminds me of when Nine used to show the NRL on an hour’s delay on Friday night. The game had just started then we saw the live feed and final score on screen for 30 seconds. They went to an ad break then came back to the delayed telecast. A bit like when the director of the Titanic musical appeared on WIN News two years ago and revealed the ending – namely that the boat sinks (sorry if I’ve ruined it for anybody planning to rent or download the Titanic movie)..

  6. After the cliffhanger bomb blast in Home and Away last year Seven immediately promoted “1 will die”, then showed shots from 2014 giving away who did not die.
