Airdate: Famous With Luis

YouTube comedy trio and 2012 Raw Comedy winners Lessons with Luis, is about to hit Channel 31 with Luis their new TV project Famous With Luis.

The chat show hosted by the ‘awkwardly charming Luis’ features his ‘daggy dad Len and mute brother Luelin,’ interviewing favourite idols about their craft. First guest is Tony Martin.

“As a teacher, I think it’s important to always keep learning”, says Luis, “and I want to learn from the best in the business”.

The show will air on C31 Melbourne from Monday and on other C31 stations around Australia later in the year.

Satirising suburban Australia in their naive, heart warming and uniquely homemade style, the Lessons with Luis family have been dubbed as the most original comic creations in a long, long time (Time Out Magazine).

With over 50 comedic educational videos on their YouTube channel, and a series of wildly popular live shows, this family has a rapidly growing fan base that eagerly await what the family get up to next.

It’s been a whirlwind twelve months for Lessons with Luis after taking out the national 2012 Raw Comedy title (past finalists include Josh Thomas and Chris Lilley), winning the 2012 Golden Gibbo for best independent show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and being awarded the coveted Moosehead Award in 2013.

“Awards are nice, and it’s great to be acknowledged for the hard work you’ve put in”, says Luis, “but they just make me want to work harder to produce the best TV show I can for my fans”.

With their guest list in hand, this lovable family are prepping their questions and practicing their interviewing techniques, as they look forward to learn what makes their idols tick.
