  1. @Pertinax it is only called Air Crash Investigation in Australia, South Africa, Asia and several other territories. In its home territory it’s called Mayday. In the US its called Air Disasters and Air Emergency. It has always included near misses.

The series has always been full of information, right from the start of flights til the conclusion of the investigation. Its well dramatised and includes interviews with crew, passengers, investigators and aviation experts. I even know people not interested in aviation that like watching it. (Disclaimer: i havent seen this ep).

  2. This would probably be in place because of the football stuffing up programming in other states. Adelaide has AFL at 6:30 until 9:30, followed by Revenge, then Testicles.
I assume Seven want to play out new Bones and Revenge episodes nation wide.
They should also double up on HIMYM as it finishes in two weeks and the internet will be full of spoilers.

  3. I did see the ad for the Qantas story. Although thank you for this update David. I didn’t know it was going to be an Air Crash Investigations show. After last week I don’t blame them for playing this. I guess we’ll see if it works. Although I give my rap on the knuckles for the show following it. I guess we’ll see how that goes. I assume this may be temporary as someone else indicated. Unless it is successful possibly. As others have stated it is interesting that they can play this so soon.

  4. Seven have right royally stuffed Bones beyond repair. For a show that was the No.1 overseas drama Seven have given it no respect whatsoever. Why they just didn’t leave it on Sundays is beyond me.

  5. Bones has just popped up again on my EPG, so its back on the 27th, by then 7 will have no doubt found someone who has flown on an aircraft to interview!

  6. I watched this ACI on Nat Geo on Sunday, it’s quite good. A number of the pilots involved were interviewed as well as the head of engineering at Qantas. It’s definitely worth a look.

  7. Excuse me….!

I still have the biggest nuts on the DVR from the first airing … (that doesn’t sound like the way I meant it…) so a repeat/encore is way out of line in this house…!

    We’d like something new, please…

  8. So for the special 100th episode they have an Air Crash Investigation without a crash?

There’s about 5 minutes worth of real information, they will be dragging it out forever till the end.

  9. @Mr. J – Perhaps Seven just had to wait for National Geographic Channel to air it first, then Seven could air it as soon as they want it.

Good call by Seven to show this episode, after the solid ratings for their News special last Thursday and pretty good ratings for the ACI repeats airing on 7Two.

  10. I know its not April fools yet but somebody at 7 thought it was. They have so many great show that are AWOL at the moment like Suits and Scandal and they think people will tune in to see Big Testicles. Might just prove me wrong.
