  1. once-upon-a-time

    @Wolfboy

    No doubt your comments about the Networks and costs etc, and other viewing mediums are occurring , I’m sorry to be a kill joy, but much may soon change or at least the goal posts will be dramatically altered in preparation for vested interest players and possibly aided by Telco’s( re caps on plans and speeds etc. ref.. recent ABC’s The Checkout segment) will hinder such access.

    Whilst the wheels are already set in motion, the government of the day have had more important priorities, such as ‘Sirs & Dames’ , and ensuring that need for factual and respectful comments will no longer restrain the radical fringe dwellers of public ridicule and insults using blatant bias and untruthful innuendo..Eventually the regulators and vested interests will get back to the media merger issues etc, but seemingly only after they ensure earlier court rulings against a great ally…

    • Once Upon a Time: I’m acknowledging you are addressing a question that was raised, however I will remind you this is a television blog, not a political one. It is not necessary to raise issues about govts, telcos, the big corporates, etc in all of your comments. It would be nice to hear about a show you have enjoyed, a plot or character once in a while too. It’s fine when the topic, such as Q & A or industry regulation puts these on the table, but I feel many have been getting out of hand and draw your attention to Comments Policy. If you have any questions on this please follow up with me via Contact page. Thanks.

  2. @MM…. Ch 9 fans don’t notice that they are watching repeats LOL. Then 9 put it on GO as well and it still rates well. If any other network tried that, they would be punished by viewers.
    Foxtel will die when Labor get back into power next election and restart the NBN. That is why Rupert was so against Labor – now we all have to suffer slow internet thanks to Rupert’s Foxtel 🙁

  3. Thought that Foxtel would be good but is no different to the free to air. Still have loads of adverts in most shows, which should not be as you are paying for Foxtel, and secondly the repeats they have are as bad as the repeats on channel 9 of TBBT.

  4. Never been too inspired to subscribe to Foxtel. I was at a shopping centre the other day and they had one of those booths with a TV screen, all the marketing stuff and a person there to sign you up. Only problem was that they chose to show Everybody Loves Raymond repeats on the screen to entice subscribers. Hmm…don’t think I’ll pay for that.

  5. My mother in law watches Days of our lives on Crackle by Sony for free. The show has moved around too much and now people watch it on-line, yes even my 80 year old mother in law.

    That’s what happens folks when you muck people around 🙁

    Those soapies are mostly watched by older women and many can’t afford the overpriced Foxtel with 100+ channels of mostly nothing worth watching. Proof is in the ratings they say 😉

  6. It’s a shame Days Of Our Lives return didn’t make the top 20 on Foxtel. I hope it still did good numbers, Foxtel should be rewarded for bringing it back.
