Comedy Central is replacing The Colbert Report with The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore, hosted by The Daily Show‘s Larry Wilmore.
That ‘silent T’ in “Report” will be silent no more.
Wilmore joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 2006 as its “Senior Black Correspondent.”
The series will feature a diverse panel of voices currently underrepresented in comedy and television according to a statement from Comedy Central.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with Jon Stewart and Busboy Productions, and are looking forward to the world getting to know Larry Wilmore even better. He’s a spectacular talent in front of and behind the camera,” said Michele Ganeless, president of Comedy Central.
Wilmore, who created The Bernie Mac Show, has previously provided a number of reports tackling racism over the years for Jon Stewart’s nightly program.
When he was asked “Are you in?” by Jon Stewart, Wilmore says his mouth hit the floor.
“I was like, ‘Y-y-y- essss?’”
“The reaction has been great,” he added. “It seemed that when David Letterman announced he was retiring, everything started to move.”

I like his work on the Daily Show but not sure how it will go four nights a week. Will be especially hard following up from Colbert, but good luck to him!
