The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore has been picked up for a second season.
Comedy Central has renewed the show through to the end of 2016, which will happily include the period covering the Presidential race.
The show debuted in January as a spin-off of The Daily Show, and as a replacement for The Colbert Report.
Deadline reports it’s not much of a surprise, given that Comedy Central has its hands full introducing Trevor Noah as Jon Stewart’s replacement as the lead-in show to Wilmore.
The Nightly Show, which offers commentary and panel discussions on current events, airs in Australia on the Comedy Channel. Trevor Noah will follow here from September 29th.
