  1. @ paddock boy – I agree completely. Obviously ten cannot hold off on competing with The Voice and My House Rules forever. However as I recall, the auditions are the most popular episodes of the voice (I know I for one only ever watched the auditions of Idol, but then again I liked the train wreck auditions that seem to have fallen out of favour). Why not wait a week or two until the Voice ratings decline a little and people are looking for an alternative? Ten deserves to fail.

  2. I think House Rules is a sinking ship already. Why else would Seven be throwing cash competitions at it.
I hope MasterChef get an audience here. Remember it is one Aussie show that gets seen all around the world. No other Aussie reality show can boast that. I used to watch it & the Junior MC versions when I was living in Indonesia on the Star World Pay TV channel. This channel is seen all across Asia.

  3. Ten need to think outside the box and not take themselves so seriously anymore. That’s how they succeeded in the past. They’ve got nothing to loose.
    Seriously!

  4. Hello David,

Acknowledging that you get all sorts of requests for ratings numbers, which you can’t meet, could you possibly provide the numbers for the SANFL on 7Mate in Adelaide, Sunday afternoon 2:00pm-5:00pm local time.

  5. The Voice: Is just Idol with spinning chairs
The Voice: Is like X factor where judges have teams

I had a great night of TV watching my PVR-Janet King was excellent, Restoration Homes was good.
Will catch up on my shows in MY time (however I need to update recording on my PVR nightly thanks to all these silly games by the networks).

I will obtain a copy of the second Mentalist episode since it was advertised to start at 9, try 9:16 and there was no mention in the advert it was a double episode. I hope this show gets axed so I watch no more 9. This happens too often!!

  6. I am with Evan43, let’s give Masterchef a change. They will air their show anyway. You never know, they might get the highest viewer rates ever. I am a beliver, I never give up and hope the producers of Masterchef will do so, despite loosing more and more viewer each time. You have to try!

Btw: I have never seen Masterchef but I like their intusiasm.

  7. Well done ch 7 with brillant ratings. Was so worried 9 was going to blitz the ratings by miles. I tried to watch the voice though the egos and desperation of the judges especially a has been like ricky martin turned me off!!

  8. it truly beggars belief that channel 10 would launch one of their most important franchises at exactly the same time as the other reality offerings, why wouldn’t they start at 7 pm???? and get the jump on everyone, they’re lucky enough to have a schedule that can accommodate it, unlike 7 & 9
    OMG

  9. bettestreep2008

I can see The Millers being moved to Eleven next week.

And The Voice is going to destroy MCA tonight.

Once again Australian viewers are going to be faced with three reality TV shows at the same time.

We just had MKR/The Block and the ratings bombs TBL/SYTYCDA.

And now we have The Voice/Hrules and MCA.

Thank goodness for the ABC, SBS and the digital channels.

  10. Seems like launching after MKR ended has had some benefits (Similar to 2012 debut figures and above 2013 launch)

Uh oh for MCA tonight though, that’s more than 3 million viewers watching something else

  11. You would assume that Channel 7 will turn The Killing Field into a series in 2015, after getting these relatively good ratings for the initial telemovie last night.
The Voice did well, as anyone would have predicted.
Tonight’s 3 way battle between The Voice, House Rules and Masterchef should be interesting
