US actor Michael Jace, who appeared in The Shield and Southland, has been arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of shooting and killing his wife.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived on the scene around 8:30 p.m. in response to neighbours’ calls to report the sound of gunshots. After arriving on the scene, they discovered April, 40, dead inside the house.
Jace, 50, was taken into custody at the scene and later booked on a homicide charge Tuesday, LAPD Criminal Gang Homicide Det. Eric Crosson told the Los Angeles Times.
Jace played Detective Julien Lowe on The Shield from 2002-2008 and Terrell in police drama Southland.
He has also appeared in Private Practice, Burn Notice, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Rizzoli and Isles, Planet of the Apes, Forrest Gump and Boogie Nights.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and it is not yet clear what led up to the shooting.

The shield is a different show. It was written by the guy who write sons of anarchy. It’s a great show. Worth checking out.
It appears he made the call to 911. bigstory.ap.org/article/shield-actor-michael-jaces-wife-found-dead
I’m confused, David. Are you referring to that “Agent of Shield” show I’ve seen in the listings for one of the digital channels or is it a different show?
