15 Comments:

  1. MC might not be a flop, but it was still 400k behind Voice and 500k behind HR

Also Ten still behind ABC on main channel and network ratings, plus numbers of programs in the top 20…

Interesting to see a private equity firm kicking the tyres, can they do any worse than the current owners?

  2. italianguy1987

Where are the people now who said MasterChef would be a flop this year?

I bet they’re at home eating their words or having their words cooked up, suveed, deep fried, sauted, smoked and then cook in a pan on the stove top by the MasterChef top 24.

  3. @MM – you are right – getting greedy for viewers will produce the opposite result. Thus what I said about TEN almost 3 years ago and only now in a slow recovery. Nine is playing with fire in my opinion.

  4. TVwatcherAUS

The Voice will be live next Monday night.
one of the reasons why it will be live is because of the voting. it closes monday 30/6/2014 at 6pm before the live airing of The Voice.

  5. It seems to be that once a channel starts swapping and changing programmes to try and get higher ratings, everything fall apart as viewers like to see and organize their viewing in advance and I think channel 9 are trying to get people to watch it more, but instead, they are turning people away, there does not seem to be much they get right these days, everything is all over the place.

  6. Have watched The Voice Kids, some of House Rules and some of Masterchef on Sunday and then on Monday, some of each of The Voice (Adults), House Rules and Masterchef and I must admit I really enjoyed The Voice Kids and quite like Masterchef and The Voice but House Rules I consider to be trash TV at it’s best. Can’t understand why it rates so high.

  7. It was filmed on Sunday? Thought it might have been earlier. Since they are doing this live voting thing with the Vodafone app next week, I presume Mondays are live?

  8. Bruce Banner

Bit of a drop for The Voice, I think over saturation is going to hurt Channel 9 in the coming weeks… the general public were probably confused if last night’s episode was for the Kids or the “normal” singers.

Good to see Masterchef holding steady close to 1 Million viewers too.

  9. Two things about last night’s The Voice:

    * Coldplay were absolutely magnificent, worked the crowd fantasticly, and sounded great.

    * It didn’t seem live, and seemed prerecorded. Darren didn’t even mention throughout the whole show “We’re live!”, as he usually does. My suspicion is maybe Coldplay’s schedule clashed, and they precorded the whole show before hand, because of that. i don’t know :/

  10. Noticed that Nine threw in a last minute encore of House Husbands after The Voice last night. They must be worried after Sunday’s ratings dive.

  11. M/Chef is definitely stronger in ratings this year 🙂

Has Nine put some viewers off by not showing The adult Voice on Sunday and then that extra long episode last night? Did they not see what happened to Ten when the mucked viewers around?
Glad to see ABC show up more in top 20.
Recorded The Voice, and Soccer overnight.
Watched Masterchef, recorded 24 for my wife.
The Project is slowly increasing viewers 🙂

  12. Nine (Sydney & Newcastle) dumped the Big Bang Theory for 9.30 and threw in an “encore” performance of House Husbands (screened the night before).

And it doesn’t appear to be in the top 20.

Methinks they be worried a tad…
