Million Dollar Minute has its third contestant gunning for big money in recent weeks, with Melbourne lawyer Jonathan Maher turning down $300,000 yesterday.
Tonight he plays for $500,000, or $505,500 including his accrued ‘safe money’.
If he loses to either of his 2 new opponents he takes home $75,000 plus $5,500.
Earlier this week he ditched a a pre-booked flight to meet-up with his wife on a European holiday after winning $200,000.
The current show record holder is former member of 1980s pop band The Models, Pierre Sutcliffe, who won $503,000Â in May.
But there are potential pitfalls.
In May Lisa Paton also made a pitch for the top prize, only to walk away with $77,000.
Friday 4th July at 5.30pm on Seven..

My family and I wish him all the best. Channel 7 would be hoping for either Jonathan to not get 5 out of 5 in the Million Dollar Minute tonight or to get 5 out of 5 and come back Monday playing for the Million to tie in with Nine’s big week on Hotseat .
Very exciting, and such a nice guy, I hope he gets it
