2014-11-22_1728Monday’s episode of The Newsroom is worth catching if you happen to be a Seven Network employee, as there are some familiar themes in the storyline.

After the ACN Newsroom is raided by the FBI looking for evidence of Neal committing espionage and uncovering his source, management decide to get out the cameras and start filming.

I was reminded of Seven’s raid by the Australian Federal Police earlier this year and how Seven began reporting on its own unfolding incident. The whole saga will go down as one of the stories of the year.

In both cases, the power of the camera proves to be a force to be reckoned with….

  1. So they aren’t going to be put off by threats to arrest them is they mention anything about the secret warrant.

    Seven wasn’t subject to such threats, its was an ordinary criminal warrant, sworn for a non criminal offense which the AFP was trying to cover up.
