Victorian Election: ABC, Seven, Nine.

ABC, Seven & Nine bring out the big names for the Victorian State Election on November 29th.

2014-11-11_2248Now the Party Tricks election is over, the real fight begins in Victoria between Dennis Napthine and Daniel Andrews.

ABC, Seven and Nine have sent through their line ups for election night Saturday November 29.

ABC:
After the Coalition’s unexpected victory in November 2010, the Napthine government goes into the November 29 Victorian election as underdog.

Labor Leader Daniel Andrews will be hoping to return Labor to office after just one term of opposition.

On election night, ABC will offer the most extensive Victorian election night coverage. Live from ABC Melbourne studios, join hosts Ian Henderson and Frances Bell with ABC election analyst, Antony Green and panellists, Steve Bracks AC and Coalition Minister, Mary Wooldridge MP.

SEVEN:

Seven News will have Melbourne’s most experienced and provocative panel during its special coverage of the 2014 Victorian election on Saturday, November 29.

Former Victorian Premiers Jeff Kennett and John Brumby will provide expert commentary as Seven News brings viewers the most comprehensive and informative coverage of what is expected to be a tight election race.

Joining Mr Kennett and Mr Brumby on the panel will be Lord Mayor of Melbourne Robert Doyle and the explosive Palmer United Party leader Clive Palmer.

Seven News’ coverage will be hosted by presenters Peter Mitchell and Jennifer Keyte, along with Seven News state political reporter Brendan Donohoe– Victoria’s most experienced and respected political journalist.

NINE:

Nine News has assembled the most experienced team of presenters, reporters and analysts of any network for its Live coverage of the 2014 Victorian state election on Saturday, November 29.

Tony Jones and Alicia Loxley will host Victoria Decides from 5.00pm as polling booths around the state draw to a close.

Neil Mitchell will provide expert analysis and opinion on Nine’s exclusive exit poll.

At 6.00pm Peter Hitchener will present a special bulletin of Nine News live from Nine’s Docklands studios.

Following Nine News, Jones and Loxley will continue the most comprehensive reporting and analysis of the day’s results.

Joining them, and spearheading Nine’s panel of experts, will be Walkley Award-winning journalist and Nine News Political Editor, Laurie Oakes. Australia’s most respected political journalist, Oakes is without peer for his record in breaking news and commentary on all levels of government across a career spanning almost 50 years.

Oakes will be joined by State Political reporter Andrew Lund, former Federal Treasurer Peter Costello and former Deputy Premier John Thwaites.

Senior journalist Brett McLeod will provide up-to-the-minute analysis of the key seats and voting trends as well as the night’s social media commentary from a special touchscreen in the studio.

The election panel will be supported by Nine News presenters and senior reporters placed in key seats across Victoria.

    Incredible. Nine news starting at 6pm. And it’s live (not pre-recorded). And from their studio at Docklands. This must be a first!
