Applications are now open for TEN’s first series of The Bachelorette Australia.
The spin-off of The Bachelor is looking for singles aged between 24 and 34.
“Would you like to be swept off your feet? Are you ready to fall in love?
If you’re single and looking for love then you’re in luck… ” says the casting website.
TEN Programming Chief Beverley McGarvey recently told TV Tonight they had already received a flurry of interest.
“Interestingly, probably because of (the way the show ended) last year, we have been inundated with applicants,” she said.
“Bachelorette is a short series. It’s a stunt, an event series. So we’ll do it this year, Year 3, but will we do it again next year? Who knows.”

The bachelorette will never rate as well as the bachelor because the audience believe it’s acceptable for a man to hook up with many women at once but not acceptable for a woman to hook up with a lot of men at once.
Which is part of the reason why it is a short stunt season
