Canberra mother & daughter leave My Kitchen Rules

“This is a nightmare." First team eliminated from Seven's reality series for 2015.

2015-02-11_0120Canberra mother and daughter Gina & Anna have become the first team to have been eliminated from My Kitchen Rules in 2015.

The outspoken pair scored just 40 out of a possible 110 points last night, after a disastrous night in their “instant restaurant.”

“This is a nightmare and it’s just embarrassing,” said Anna.

“This is literally the first disastrous day we’ve had in the kitchen. Ever. It’s unbelievable.”

Their salt and pepper flathead entrée was overcooked and the gnocchi main course encountered problems with the potato, ragout, tomato paste and an incredibly long wait for their guests.

A dessert pastry was overcooked and the dozen prunes on top of their crème patissiere tarts was off-putting to their diners.

“We are more driven than ever to get out there and see what we can do and show people what we’re really capable of,” said a disappointed Anna.

But their elimination saved Adelaide’s Annie and Lloyd from being eliminated.

Group 2 enters the competition tonight with Queensland best friends Sheri and Emilie first up in the kitchen.

  1. I agree with Rutzie, glad they are gone, the most annoying team there by a mile. Mainly because of Anna. Whenever she spoke she was so arrogant, I ended up changing the channel at one point to see Laura and Lauren drinking a cow eye on IACGMOOH. That was entertaining.

Look forward to seeing the new teams tonight

  2. I had to laugh when they pulled their tray of overcooked potatoes out of the oven .. presumably a very hot oven. But no oven gloves or cloth. Must have hands of steel !

    1. Actually, she said that she had turned the oven off a while ago and had left them in there. They would have still cooked but the tray would have cooled down.

  3. I think the real villains are the sneaky WA couple. They gave the Vic girls and the SA couple a ‘2’. And the Canberra team a ‘4’. I would have given the Vic girls a higher score, followed by the SA couple and then the Canberra team. I feel they are being strategic in a mean way.
