Eddie Perfect joins Play School

Perfect by name, perfect by nature, multi-talented Eddie Perfect is joining ABC’s Play School.
The writer, performer, composer, writer describes the presenting role as a dream gig.
“Jemima, Big Ted, Little Ted and Humpty already feel like family, so my children are beside themselves about the news,” he says.
“Play School was a giant part of my childhood and to this day continues to play a huge role in inspiring my own kids to dance and stomp around the room.
“I’m beyond excited to be joining the presenting team at Play School; it’s always been a dream of mine. To be a part of a show that holds such an important place in the lives of children is a real honour and a thrilling responsibility. I simply cannot wait to dive in and continue the great tradition of engaging children with creative play.”
The award-winning educational television show, Play School is the second-longest-running children’s show in the world and it’s estimated that 80% of children under six in Australia watch the program at least once a week.
Perfect’s television credits include Offspring; Ultimate School Musical; Kath and Kim; Blue Heelers; MDA; Spicks and Specks; Good News Week and hosting Friday Night Crack Up as part of ABC’s Mental As… initiative.
Theatre credits include Bat Boy; Keating! The Musical; Shane Warne The Musical; Babes in the Wood and The Threepenny Opera.
His first episode is expected to air in May this year on ABC4KIDS.
