He may have been well-known for Play School but John Hamblin had a busy career in the 1970s in soaps including Class of ’74, The Restless Years and later The Young Doctors and Sons & Daughters.
In this clip of Class of ’75 (the second season of Class of ’74) he appears as acting principal Donald Blair, alongside Briony Behets and a devious young Abigail.

So many of the Class of 74/75 previously appeared in Number 96 or went on to appear in The Young Doctors or both.
So many names from the past on the credits….
