Aussie expat Eden Gaha continues to kick goals as a US executive.
As president of unscripted television for Shine America, he has now has been named president of unscripted television for the newly-merged production giant Endemol Shine USA.
Gaha began his career as host of ABC’s 1992 Vidiot before earning his producer stripes on Survivor and becoming right-hand man to Mark Burnett.
In a previous interview with TV Tonight, Gaha said that after presenting Vidiot, Animal Hospital and Take 40 Australia, he wanted to produce but found it hard to be given the chance.
“I started by producing my own stories on Animal Hospital, and I begged Peter Meakin (then) at Channel Nine to give me a job on Current Affair’s Summer Edition just to prove I knew how to craft a piece.
“And they were on a one-day turn around too. I really enjoyed my time at Nine because you learned how to cover a lot with very little.”
