Kelly Osbourne has departed Fashion Police, days after controversial comments made on the show by co-presenter Giuliana Rancic.
E! Entertainment said in a statement, “Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers.
“Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement.”
But her departure follows a recent tweet in which she stood apart from a controversy over comments made by Rancic that Zendaya Coleman looked like she smelled of “patchouli or weed” when she debuted her new dreadlocks look at the Oscars.
Rancic later apologised when Coleman, Selma director Ava DuVernay, Kerry Washington and Whoopi Goldberg all criticised the remarks.
I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!

Rancic – maybe they should rethink her hosting the ASTRA’s. It should’ve always been an Australian host, now this just makes it ten times worse.
