George Takei disses “difficult” William Shatner (again)

"Every one of us have had problems with him," says Star Trek legend.

Warning: language

Star Trek legend George Takei has been visiting Australia and sat down for an interview with SBS 2’s The Feed.

During the chat Marc Fennell asked him if his public rivalry with his co-star William Shatner was genuine.

“He’s a difficult guy to work with. He’s a charming guy and when you first meet him he will sweet talk y’all. But every one of us have had problems with him,” he said.

He went on to recall examples of Shatner telling the director to focus the camera on him, rather than his co-stars, and sacking a photographer from TV Guide who was doing an essay on Leonard Nimoy.

“He and Leonard had a lot of tension going between them.”
