You gotta love a trend that begins with the audience….
My Kitchen Rules fans, apparently frustrated by the amount of ads during the show, have begun a Twitter trend by posting funny animal photos on social media.
“Ad break animals” are taking over.

We love tweeting our ad-break animals. Its good fun. We’ve got to do something to pass the time. 😀
Always watch this twenty minutes after it starts so catch up by the end.
There are no more ad breaks during MKR than any other show.
I tend to agree.
I often wonder why there are still so many sponsors for TV. I don’t know anyone who actually watches them and who isn’t driven around the bend by them. I guess they must show value for the companies money spent but it beats me on how?
It would almost be worth putting these on screen during the ad-breaks themselves… Draw people’s eyes back to the ads themselves.
How True !
Love MKR but wont watch it live.
Continuous ad breaks of 5.5 and 6.0 minutes are just ridiculous
Now I see no ads instead of sitting through a few
If I was a manufacturer I would not be paying whatever exorbitant prices 7 are charging for this time slot
I would think it money wasted
If others are not with me in PVR’ing – Pretty sure they get up for a walk around the block or a trip to the local shop 🙂
Just record the show and start watching it about 30 min in. That way you can skip the ads and still finish very close to the off air time.
Yep that’s exactly what I do the amount of ads is ridiculous thank god for PVRs
Yep it’s the only way! I’m happy to record every show and watch it later or in the following day/days to skip through ads. It’s made watching tv so much more enjoyable.
