  1. That’s right Maev,& what’s the point with showing an hour highlights, the results are already shown all over the news services by then,TEN aint the home of motorsport… more like the halfway house.

      1. TEN is The Home of Big Event Motorsport rather than Home of Motorsport. Big events are the ones held in Australia like Clipsal, Aus F1, Townsville 400, Sandown 500, Bathurst 1000, Aus MotoGP, GC 600, Sydney 500 and RPM

    1. Me too….difficult to remember what TEN is showing and what they are not…I did make a note somewhere…just annoying though…and Germany out now…one of the FTA …so one less for us…

          1. You’d have to think with those kinds of figures it’s hardly worth them showing it in those markets, even on Gem. Did Afl on 7mate do any better?

          2. @Bullswool
Multichannels are meant to provide alternatives so despite the lower ratings nine shouldn’t stop airing NRL on Gem. What would be in its place reruns of old movies?
(For some reason the reply button under Bullswool comment was missing so couldn’t reply directly to that comment.)

        1. The NRL get a few weeks jump on the AFL, so people waiting for footy will dip their toes, but when AFL comes back on, will switch back. tvf – if the old movies get 80k, then they are worth 10 times more to advertisers.

  2. I watched Poldark last night. It was ok – though doesn’t have the same oomph or warmth as the original series. The story seemed rushed and they added darker scenes that weren’t in the book or previous series. Some of the characters also seemed miscast. However, for Sunday night viewing it was reasonable and I will watch again next week. Better than watching reality garbage.

  3. Think all ‘Free to Air’ programmes have lost a lot of the viewing public over the past year, all shows seem to be lower than they have ever been, perhaps a big re-camp should be considered.

  4. MKR has begun losing viewers… this season has been rather lower than average from the past three seasons. I think the elimination of very popular teams may be the cause of low numbers. For a show that used to get 2.2m an episode, it is not good enough! The Block was full of drama and nasty comments as usual, particularly from the judges. RHOM was amazing last night… hopefully it will get 100+ thousand.

    1. I thought MKR was emotional last night. This year’s series is actually not as nasty as previous years but that’s just my opinion.

The Block usually surges toward the end. I don’t watch this show but as someone mentioned about the drama/nasty comments, would that have contributed to the spike in ratings?

I don’t think the drop in MKR ratings is due to it being dragged on for too long as it started about the same time as The Block.
