Graffiti hits The Block’s next site

Has a French-speaking environmental activist left their mark on the next season of The Block?

Verts Avez, which translates as “have green” has been painted on the facade of the former Saville motel in South Yarra, site of the next season of The Block.

Does it mean the Nine series is going all out in the environmental stakes? Not quite, with a Nine spokesperson confirming it was the result of graffiti.

Whether it was the work of a French-speaking activist concerned about the local environmental is unclear. But it would be a good guess.

The site also has a history of a “vampire gigolo” murder but does not appear to be related.

Production is underway on the next season with a name yet to be revealed.

  1. Police are searching for a French cat burglar with long arms, a paint roller and an ability to write upside down. Nothing was stolen so they’re not looking to catch a thief.

  2. The graffiti has been there for about a week and a bit.

I think it was bedroom week last week, with the mattresses being moved around last Friday arvo.

  3. Personally l feel reno shows are coming to the end of their prime time life. The Block is starting to get that ‘seen it all before look’ to it.
