RocKwiz heads into the ’90s this week with guests Emma Donovan, Robert Forster, Davey Lane and Tim Freedman.

As part of the ‘RocKwiz Salutes The Decades’ series, the 90s episode opens with a stunning version of Macy Gray’s hit, ‘I Try’ by former Black Arm Band member, currently out front of The Putbacks, Emma Donovan, before co-founder of the Go Betweens, Robert Forster, performs a flamboyant rendition of the Prince song ‘Cream’, with funky dance moves and sublime backing vocals from Vika and Linda Bull. Robert discusses The Go Betweens, his taste in music and Julia’s hair care. You Am I guitarist and solo performer Davey Lane sings an Oasis song before sharing an amusing and (formerly) private conversation with Liam Gallagher. Tim Freedman performs his #1 song in the 1997 Triple J Hottest 100 and the whole show is brought to a climax with Deee-Lite’s ‘Groove Is In The Heart’. Look out for Tim and Robert rapping, cross legged, on chairs, reading ‘The Monthly’. Only on RocKwiz!

8:30pm Saturday on SBS ONE.
